The Moonlight Players in Clermont are renovating their theater, and they need people to help get the job done. Here’s more:
To all patrons, actors and actresses,
As many of you know the Moonlight Players Theater has been in the process of being renovated for the last several months. We have been upgrading the electrical system, building a new handicap ramp, adding new seating for the patrons and fire-proofing the interior of the building not just to upgrade our building and the theater experience for our patrons but also in order to comply with local codes and ordinances in order to keep our doors open.
We would like to thank all of you who have helped us so far in our endeavors but need to call on your help one more time. There are still a number of small but significant “punch list” items that need to be completed by Feb. 20. If these items are not completed then our doors will be shut. We are down to the wire on this and need your help one more time.
We are having one more work day on Feb. 12 (Saturday) beginning at 9 am at the theater, with the idea being that we will finish everything at that time. This means that we need bodies. Whether you feel like you know anything about building or not is irrelevant. Even if you know nothing about construction you can still help by holding the end of a tape measure, handing someone nails, sweeping, painting, etc. The more people who show up the quicker we will finish and be able to continue performing our shows for the community.
If you enjoy watching or being a part of Moonlight shows please join us that day. This is your community theater.
