Michele Greenwood Bettinger, who worked at Disney in the early ’90s and then moved back to her native Seattle, returns to the Orlando area this weekend with Aunt Dottie’s Sing-Along Cabaret, at the Breakthrough Theatre today through Sunday.
Bettinger performs with pianist Aaron Buckner. Here’s the official word and Aunt Dottie’s own blog:
After years entertaining on the high seas, Aunt Dottie, finds herself on dry land, due to her current husband’s chronic sea-sickness. Unable to stop performing, and still paying alimony for all of those previous husbands, Aunt Dottie is bringing her act to the Breakthrough Theatre of Winter Park.
In this all-ages interactive musical comedy, the audience is encouraged to participate in the musical mayhem as Aunt Dottie and her Nephew Aaron take you on a romp through some classic and not-so-classic pop & rock tunes. THERE WILL BE PRIZES!

Michele Greenwood Bettinger began performing when she was 7 years old — with an appearance on television’s “Romper Room”. After growing up and appearing in many shows throughout the Pacific NW she relocated to Central FL to perform with the original cast of actors hired to open the Disney-MGM (Hollywood) Studios. She worked the Screen Test show and spent six years as a member of the Streetmosphere cast. She also appeared on many Central FL stages; which included sharing writing, performing, and producing duties on the original show, “Boobs Cubed”, for the Orlando Fringe Festival. Favorite roles include: Mistress Ford- “The Merry Wives of Windsor”; Lina Lamont-“Singin’ in the Rain”; Sally Bowles – “Cabaret”; Sheila – “Hair”; Louise – “Gypsy”. Now living in the Pacific NW Michele is thrilled to be bringing this original show, “Aunt Dottie’s Sing-Along Cabaret” to the audiences at the Breakthrough Theatre. Michele and Aaron have been performing the show in the Seattle area since 2008 and are proud to be member’s of King County’s 4Culture touring arts roster of talent for 2010.
