United Arts hosts cultural-leaders meeting

Here’s an invitation from United Arts of Central Florida:

Advance. Listen.  Inspire. Grow. Nurture.

United Arts of Central Florida invites you to a semi-annual gathering of Central Florida’s cultural leaders. Focused around advocacy and awareness for the arts, this meeting follows up on myregion.org‘s economic impact study and is an opportunity for local arts councils, organizations and artists to come together to discuss common issues.

Join us as we welcome Sherron Long, president of the Florida Cultural Alliance, for a very important discussion on state and federal funding.

Additionally, attendees will:
•    hear from several local elected officials during a “Working with Your Elected Officials” talk;
•    have an opportunity to break out in disciplines;
•    learn about RedChairProject.com‘s latest; and
•    tour the Museum of Florida Art
A light breakfast will be provided thanks to Mainstreet Grill. Lunch will be available for purchase for approximately $10 courtesy of The Holiday House. Thank you to our friends at the Museum of Florida Art for generously hosting this meeting.

    If anyone wants a ride from Downtown Orlando to Deland, I’d be happy to give them a ride.
