Fringe updates: Thursday 5/27

Here are some important updates for all you Fringers from Beth Marshall, the Fringe’s grand pooh-bah:

Here are some updates from Fringe:

Sold out completely: Chase Padgett’s 6 Guitars has sold out the final two shows. There are no tix available. Only comp, VIP, Superpass and Fringe Bux holders are potentially able to get in at this point.

Cancellations: Nephesh Theatre’s Gimpel the Fool WILL be having its show tonight (5/27 THU 8:25PM). However, due to a serious family emergency requiring them to go home, the remaining performances on the following dates have been canceled.

5/29 SAT 5:00PM
5/30 SUN 5:00PM

Ticketholders for the cancelled shows are encouraged to attend tonight’s performance. Otherwise, they will be fully refunded within 48 hours if they paid by credit card. Ticketholders who paid by cash need to go to the Fringe box office at Orlando Shakes between 4pm-midnight on weekdays or 10am-midnight on weekends to be refunded. (Ask for box office manager Carla Davis.)

Visual Fringe: We are up to 19 pieces of sold art as of Wed. May 26th. (Full list will come out in next newsletter.)

Parking: Please remind everyone NOT to park on the curb or grass or loading zones within the Loch Haven Park lot. EVER. They will be towed/ticketed by the City of Orlando. This is beyond Fringe’s control. Additional parking (and PLENTY of it) is located across Princeton Street at the Orlando Science Center parking garage. The cost is FREE to $8 depending on the day. Further additional parking is at Florida Hospital parking lot as well.

Fringe is sorry about the construction on Mills/17-92 but can’t do anything about it.

As always, there is NO LATE ENTRY to shows, so plan ahead to park.

  1. Prayerful thoughts and best wishes go out to Howard. Sorry we’ll miss his show. 😦

Best of wishes to the cast of Gimpel — it will likely be tough to perform with the emergency on their mind. Hoping that everything works out for the best.
