Shakespeare With Heart – 1 (for First Time Participants) Grades 7-college freshmen
Dates: Monday, June 21 – Friday, July 2
Performance: July 2 at Noon
Time: 9 a.m. – Noon
This program is a collaboration between UCP of Central Florida, the Exceptional Education Department of UCF and the Orlando Shakespeare Theater to allow students with and without special needs to work together over a two-week period to produce a Shakespeare play. Students from both groups work side by side in this program, with all participants being assigned a role suiting their ability. All students participate in daily voice, movement and warm-up activities before rehearsing together. The program culminates in a showcase production of scenes from a Shakespearean play.
