‘Tuesdays With Morrie’ does show for ALS

Tuesdays With Morrie, a production at the new Pointe Performing Arts Center on I Drive, is putting on a special performance in conjunction with the Florida Chapter of the ALS Association as a way of sharing information about ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Here’s what’s happening:

Please Join The ALS Association Florida Chapter for a Special Performance of Mitch Albom’s Tuesdays With Morrie.

In an effort to create awareness about ALS, the Florida Chapter is partnering with the Pointe Performing Arts Center for this touching production of Tuesdays with Morrie. The true story recounts the love between a spiritual mentor who is living with ALS, Morrie Schwartz, and his pupil, Mitch Albom.

As Morrie lives out his final days with this terminal illness, he teaches Mitch how to live a full life. Following the performance, we will hold a special talk-back session so the audience can learn more about the disease that changed Morrie’s life.

Wednesday, August 25 | 8:00pm
This performance will be followed by a talk back session with ALS Association representatives.
