An audition notice from the Titusville Playhouse:
The Titusville Playhouse announces auditions for Godspell
Music and Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz
Conceived by John-Michael Tebelak
Presented by special arrangement with Theatre Maximus
Directed by Mary Purdy
Auditions: Sept 7 and 8 at 6:30 pm
Vaudeville, pantomime, magic and beautiful music.
A message of love and joy that breaks all sectarian boundaries while telling the story of a rag-tag group that changed the world.
Men: (Stage age. . . . 16 to 35) Tenor, Baritone, Bass or Low Baritone
Women: (Stage age. . . 16 to 35) Mezzo, Soprano & Alto
Singing: This show relies heavily on the vocal abilities of the characters. If you can’t sing a solo, you might be okay, but everyone must be able to handle a chorus part.
Dancing: for all characters is Light to Medium. If we get some ‘really good’ dancers, it might get heavier.
Characters: The show requires ‘physical’ performers and the ability to improvise. Looking for good, clear speaking performers. Projection is the key!
Performance dates: Nov. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20 at 8 pm and Nov. 7, 14, 21 at 2 pm
