Are you a starving artist? Indulge yourself here.

Orlando Shakespeare announced this a few months back, but this seems like a good time for a reminder of the company’s Starving Artists program. Pick up a Starving Artist pass and you can get tickets to six O’Shakes shows for only 30 bucks.

(Five dollars apiece? You can’t do ANYTHING else for that.)

Warning: The deadline is Sept. 15, which is fast approaching.

Here’s how to take part:

The Orlando Shakespeare Theater Offers Discounted Tickets to the Central Florida Arts Community

The Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF is offering an opportunity to the non-profit arts community to purchase tickets for the 2010-2011 season at a reduced rate with a “Starving Artist” Pass. Starving Artist pass holders will receive one ticket to each of Orlando Shakespeare Theater’s six Signature Series productions for only $30! (Limit two per person.)

To receive this discounted ticket price, buyers need to provide proof of employment (contract, agreement, pay stub) at a non-profit arts organization in the Central Florida area. The Starving Artist pass may be redeemed for any performance during the first three weeks of each production based on available seating at the time of redemption. Offer valid through September 15, 2010.

For further details or to purchase your tickets, please contact the Orlando Shakespeare Theater Box Office at (407) 447-1700.
