DiDonna to don mascara once again

A belated congratulations to director John DiDonna, who’s going home to New York State to play Dr. Frank N. Furter in a re-creation of a Rocky Horror Show production in which he originally appeared in 1984.

(That’s John, on the right, and his father Sal way back when. John says yes, that was his real hair.)

John’s now done the role five times — twice in Syracuse and three times here in Orlando (once at the old Civic Theatre and twice at Theatre Downtown, which is putting on yet another production of it this fall). In Syracuse he’ll be working with the director who staged that 1984 production, Christine Lightcap. The show will run Oct. 21-31 at the New Times Theatre in Syracuse.
