Mad Cow Theatre is seeking a full-time Box Office Manager. Flexibility with hours is required for special events such as The Orlando Cabaret Festival, Fundraisers and other events/rentals. Salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

•         Manages admission ticket sales by supervising and reviewing performance of staff, overseeing scheduling, participating in training, and regularly updating the box office manual
•         Prioritize work projects for yourself and the Box Office staff
•         Controls financial reporting functions by ensuring full and accurate accountability for all ticket sales and reporting generated by the Box Office
•         Establish ticketing and event control procedures, and, reconciling accounting records
•         Maintain lobby concessions inventory
•         Process all concession orders and invoices for payment efficiently
•         Maintain high standards in customer service
•         Lead customer care and organization of the theatre’s Subscription Program
•         Lead customer care and organization of the theatre’s student classes
•         Cultivate and maintain solid, respectful working relationships within the Central Florida area
•         Handle customer complaints in a professional manner
•         Answer calls and process ticket orders in the Box Office when needed
•         Manage complimentary ticket distribution to all cast & crew
•         Perform data entry and create a variety of reports using Excel and ProVenue ticketing systems.
•         Must be able to complete assignments accurately in time allotted
•         The Box Office Manager works closely with the General Manager on regular sales reports, daily box office reconciliation, and assisting with box office settlements for performances and constructing performance fact sheets for box office staff
•         The Box Office Manager is to work closely with Marketing, Development, and Administration to help with problem solving, challenges and to meet revenue goals
•         Responsible for contributing solutions to meet weekly/annual revenue goals
•         Partner with peers and staff in the area of problem solving
•         Attend meetings related to the Box Office
•         Undertake any other responsibilities relating to ticketing services
•         Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

•         2-3 years of progressive experience in a Box Office, Front of House or hospitality management setting with knowledge of ticketing/booking software
•         Four year college degree in related field or the equivalent in level of experience
•         Must possess reliable transportation and be willing to use own car for running errands
•         Ability to assist in the supervision and direction of staff
•         Able to lift up to 30 lbs
•         Professional demeanor and appearance
•         A team player who is able to work well with others under sometimes stressful environments
•         Experience working in a deadline-oriented environment while multi-tasking
•         Demonstrated ability to be proactive, willing to take initiative and follow-through on all projects
•         Possess strong communication, organizational and people skills
•         Ability to establish and maintain effective public and working relationships with customers and employees
•         Must be able to problem solve, think on your feet, acting with tact and diplomacy
•         Clear and concise written skills
•         Verbal communication skills with a strong focus on customer service
•         Skill in money handling and in customer relations and ability to teach others these skills
•         Strong speaking skills and logical thinking when describing issues and framing approaches to solving problems
•         Working on weekends, evening hours, and occasional holidays will be required
•         Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet)
•         Experience with ProVenue Ticketing Systems a plus
•         Knowledge of a theater environment and non-profit organizations is preferred
