Garden Theatre Micro-Budget Film Fest Producer

The Garden Theatre is a 299-seat performing arts venue, a showplace for live theatre, dance and music, cinema viewings, community events and education programs in historic downtown Winter Garden. The Garden Theatre is seeking a Film Festival Producer to produce the inaugural Micro-Budget Film Festival June 2-5, 2011 at the Garden Theatre.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Establishing Micro-budget guidelines
•    Soliciting and cultivating donors, sponsors, members, volunteers and audience members to reach budgetary goals
•    Soliciting filmmakers to meet participation goals
•    Coordinating film selection process
•    Producing Festival Operations, managing daily tasks and accomplishing goals set forth during festival
•    Assisting in the development of the Festival branding and marketing, and upholding that brand through all marketing efforts
•    Creating and producing parties, workshops and events surrounding festival
•    Managing approved budget

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
•    Proven experience in film festival operations
•    Experience in fundraising
•    Demonstrated outstanding customer service and communication skills
•    Demonstrated  computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
•    Experience in volunteer management
•    Experience in social media marketing a plus
•    Willingness to work flexible and varied hours
•    Ability to work independently to meet goals
•    Knowledge of non-profit business model and donor management a plus

COMPENSATION
Independent Contract Position
November 15, 2010 – June 30, 2011
STIPEND:  $5,000
