Here’s a joint audition announcement from Theatre Winter Haven and Lakeland Community Theatre:

Theatre Winter Haven & Lakeland Community Theatre
Announce Auditions For ABBA – Thanks For the Music Concert

The Lakeland Community Theatre and Theatre Winter Haven joint concert project announce auditions to ABBA — Thank You for the Music.

Auditions will be held for one night only, Monday, December 6 at 7 PM at the Polk Theatre. The theatres are looking for about 25 accomplished singers who wish to be part of this benefit concert on the stage of the Polk Theatre.

The concert will occur on Sunday, January 30 with a matinee at 2 PM. The show will feature over two dozen of ABBA’s hits plus a live band. Abba is one of the world’s most popular groups with over 375 million records sold, and still selling two to three million per year.

Singers should prepare their favorite ABBA song or similar. ABBA music will be provided, but no karaoke will be allowed. Rehearsals will occur in January.

Pat Fleitz is music director and Norm Small show director.

This benefit concert is sponsored by the Polk Theatre and combines the best singers from Lakeland Community Theatre and Theatre Winter Haven. For the past five years the two organizations have joined in a benefit production.
