A job opening at the Orange County Arts Education Center:

POSITION: Arts Education Coordinator

STATUS: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt position. $12/ hr. Health and dental provided.

WORK SCHEDULE: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with a flexible schedule to include some weeknights and weekends.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Arts Education Coordinator for the Orange County Arts Education Center will serve as both an office and project coordinator to enhance the Center’s mission of providing equitable and quality arts education access for all Orange County Citizens.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Coordinate office logistics, including tracking inventory and budget, purchasing supplies, managing phones and other office equipment
 Coordinate committee and other meeting logistics, including space, registration, attendance, minutes and follow-up
 Develop and coordinate print and electronic communication and materials, including website and social media, publications, registrations and artist contracts
 Coordinate event planning, registration and day-of details for Principals Appreciation Breakfast, PLAYGROUND Music and Arts Fest, and other events as needed
 Manage the Magic Journey to the Arts program, including tracking applications, invoices and communications with grantees and selected organizations
 Supervise interns as needed
 Additional duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
 Bachelor’s degree in education, arts management, or equivalent
 Demonstrated professional experience with the coordination of arts education programming
 Marketing and public relations experience
 Office management experience
 Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Web-based tools)

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Strong time management, administrative, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
 Flexible, adaptable, proactive, self-motivated
 Ability to prioritize, multi-task and problem solve
 Knowledge of program and program planning
 Sensitivity toward and ability to collaborate and work with diverse populations
 Ability to meet deadlines with little supervision
 Effective team player, outgoing with a sense of humor
