Breakthrough announces next season

Spring’s still a month off, but Breakthrough Theatre of Winter Park is announcing its 2011-2012 season. Here it is:

Season 3 (always subject to change):

  • July 29-Aug. 21: The Civil War, the Frank Wildhorn musical, directed by Wade Hair (Fridays, Saturdays, Mondays, at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.)
  • Sept. 2-18: The classic 12 Angry Men, by Reginald Rose, directed by Sylvia Vicchiullo (Fridays, Saturdays, Mondays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.)
  • Sept. 30-Oct. 16: Agnes of God by John Pielmeier, directed by Jim Cundiff (Fridays, Saturdays, Mondays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.)
  • Nov. 4-27: Bare: A Pop Opera, music by Damon Intrabartolo and lyrics by Jon Hartmere, directed by Wade Hair (Friday, Saturdays, Mondays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.)
  • De. 8-18: It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, directed by Wade Hair (Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Mondays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.)
  • Jan. 6-8, 2012: Superior Thespians (Friday and Saturday at 8, Sunday at 3)
  • Jan. 20-Feb. 12, 2012: Best of Broadway: 1990-1994, directed by Wade Hair (Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays at 8 and Sundays at 3)
  • Feb. 24-March 11, 2012: Bus Stop by William Inge, directed by Joshua Eads-Brown (Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays at 8 and Sundays at 3)
  • March 23-April 8, 2012: Driving Miss Daisy by Alfred Uhry, directed by Randy Tapper (Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.)
  • April 13-15, 2012: Original One-Act Festival
  • April 27-May 20, 2012: The Secret Garden In Concert, the Lucy Simon-Marsha Norman musical, directed by Wade Hair (Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays at 8 and Sundays at 3)
  • June 1-17, 2012: The Oldest Profession by Paula Vogel, directed by Wade Hair (Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays at 8 and Sundays at 3)
  • July 6-29, 2012: Cabaret, the Kander and Ebb musical, directed by Wade Hair (Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays at 8 and Sundays at 3)
  • TBA: 3rd annual anniversary and awards
