Theater auditions: A Fringe show called ‘Onomatopoeia’

You don’t have to be able to spell it (although good spelling is always a leg up in my world), but here’s an audition announcement from Tara Corless for Onomatopoeia, a Fringe show. For more info, go to the show’s Facebook page:

Saturday, March 12 · 6-10 pm
Location: TBA

Roles:

  • Lead male – 20s – 30s – emphasis on physical theatre & physical comedy
  • Lead female – 20s – 30s – some singing
  • Supporting male – any age (adult) – emphasis on assuming multiple roles, some singing

Please prepare one monologue and a song (1930s/20s standard preferred), a cappella or cd. Just need to get an idea of voice. And be prepared to possibly play some improv games.

Bring headshot and resume (whatever you have)

Live music propels the flights of fancy and down-to-earth peregrinations of a hardscrabble hobo. His fondest dreams clash with hard realities as he journeys home in a quest to reunite with his sweetheart.

Coming this May to the Orlando Fringe Festival – Red Venue – Dates and Times TBA.
