Theater auditions: GOAT’s Original Playwright Series

Here’s an audition notice from Greater Orlando Actors Theatre:

Greater Orlando Actors Theatre will hold auditions for its new original playwright series, GOAT OPS, this Sunday, March 27, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Harwood-Watson Dance Studio. GOAT OPS is planned to be an annual event. This year’s feature show is Sampling the Kool Aid by Scott Webb, an up-and-coming central Florida playwright.

Sampling the Kool Aid is a farcical trip through some of the biggest events in history–from Pompeii to Jack the Ripper to Jonestown! You may laugh when you’re supposed to cry, but at least you took a drink.

Three women and 12 men ages 18 to 60 are needed to play various roles. Please bring a headshot and resume. Be prepared to read from the script. All roles are non-paid. Call 407-872-8451 for an audition appointment.

Harwood-Watson Dance Studio is located at 820 Lake Baldwin Lane Orlando, FL 32803.

GOAT OPS 2011 will run April 22 through May 1 at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center on 812 East Rollins Street. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8:30 p.m. Sunday performances begin at 7 p.m.
