Your (increasingly frequent) dose of Orlando Fringe news from Fringe producers (and it’s May 18-30, in case you hadn’t heard):
The Fringe needs volunteers:
To join our volunteer email list please email: email@example.com.
2011 Volunteer Training Dates:
- Saturday, April 30 at 4:00pm
- Wednesday, May 4 at 6:30pm
The sessions will be at Lowndes Shakespeare Center, 812 E. Rollins St., in the Goldman Theater (Fringe Yellow Venue). Anytime during the festival, you can come by the Volunteer Check-in Room at Studio C at the Shakespeare Center and join in the fun. If you are interested in working hours in the Fringe office during the year, please directly contact our General Manager, George Wallace at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Fringe needs vendors:
We are still in need of more vendors for the 2011 Orlando Fringe. We are interested in ALL sorts of vendors for the 13 days of the festival.
Food/beverage vendor fee is $750 for 13 days. Non-food/beverage vendor fee is $350 for 13 days. We are particularly looking for non-food vendors selling wares of all sorts — original jewelry, crafts, vintage kitsch, pet supplies, art, plants, massage, henna tattoos, fortune tellers, etc. (any/everything welcomed). Contact outdoor-events coordinator Jae Nale at Jae1432@aol.com for an application and more info.
The Fringe needs visual artists:
Our Visual Fringe artist applications are online at OrlandoFringe.org. We accept ALL forms of visual art in all mediums, shapes, styles and sizes. We have tiered our application fees for visual artists to be accommodating for all art. We want to have a variety of art forms represented — pottery, paintings, collage, jewelry, installation art etc. 100% of the sales of visual artworks goes directly back to the artists. For more info, contact Visual Fringe producer Anna McCambridge-Thomas at VisualFringe@OrlandoFringe.org.
