Gentlemen (and ladies), start your crockpots

Just a reminder that the next theater-community potluck is just a week away. It’s set for 7:30 p.m. (note the new time) Sunday July 24 at the Abbey, the new theater space at 100 S. Eola Drive in the Sanctuary condominium building.

This is the time for people in Orlando’s theater community — actors, directors, techs and the rest of you — to eat, drink, hang out and have the chance to meet and talk with the people you never do because you’re always in rehearsal.

It’s also your chance to check out the Abbey, a new venue that’s meant to house theater, dance and cabaret.

Just show up at the potluck with your covered dish (presumably with food in it). There’s parking on city streets and in surrounding parking garages, as well as valet parking for $5. Drinks will be available.

Thanks to Ron Legler and Florida Theatrical Association for making the Abbey available at us. If you haven’t yet, please let us know you’re coming by saying so here or at John DiDonna’s Central Florida Theatre in Process on Facebook. And don’t eat too much before you come.

I still don’t know if I can handle making it, with my kitchen floor being retiled. 😦
