James Brendlinger sends this message about a big costume sale at his school, Lake Howell High School, this weekend. Sounds like a great deal (each costume for $1!) for budding theaters. (Note: Lake Howell High School is east of Semoran, out towards Tuskawilla.)
Due to construction at my school, I have lost a large portion of my costume storage area. I will be having a private costume sale for teachers and friends THIS SATURDAY, July 23 from Noon to 4 pm. (Sorry for the short notice—I didn’t know I was going to have to do this until today, and I’m leaving for Seattle on Tuesday.) By “private” I mean that I am not putting up signs outside the school or advertising in the newspaper—you are MORE THAN WELCOME to spread the word to anyone you know who might be interested.
There are literally several thousand costume pieces for sale—and to keep it simple, EACH ITEM IS ONE DOLLAR. I’ll be using the proceeds toward updating AV Tech equipment in my classroom, which I’m sure you can appreciate.
Lake Howell High School is at 4200 Dike Road in Winter Park, FL 32792. The sale will be held in my classroom. Park in front of the Administration Building, and then follow the alley to the left of the Admin Building back to my building, where you’ll see the door propped open and a sign to help you find your way.
