MicheLee Puppets wins national grant

Congratulations to MicheLee Puppets, which has won a $15,000 grant from the Aetna Foundation for a project to fight childhood obesity in Florida.

The grant was the result of online voting, which — thanks to some terrific online promoting hereabouts — gave MicheLee the third highest number of votes across the U.S.

MicheLee Puppets gets grant

Here’s a good-news story from the Dr. Phillips Charities, which have awarded a $26,000 grant to MicheLee Puppets:

Local children dealing with domestic violence will soon have a new way to cope thanks to a $26,000 grant by Dr. Phillips Charities to help MicheLee Puppets Inc. launch a puppet show about domestic violence prevention and intervention in partnership with Harbor House, a shelter for victims of domestic violence.
