First, the opening of Butterflies Are Free at Breakthrough Theatre has been postponed until next weekend — because the lead actor didn’t show up for his final dress rehearsal. (I’d hate to be that guy looking for his next acting gig.)

Theater auditions: ‘Butterflies Are Free’ at Breakthrough

An audition notice for Butterflies Are Free:

Auditions for the Leonard Gershe play Butterflies Are Free, directed by Heather-Lucia Bass, will be held on May 8 (11-2) and May 9 (3-6). Needed are actors for the characters of free-spirited, young actress Jill Tanner, overprotective mother, Mrs. Baker, and movie producer, Ralph Austin. The role of Don Baker will be played by Julian Narajo. This production does not pay (community theater).
